The intended publication dates and cut-off dates for submission of official results for BARTS lists are shown below. Lists will be generally be published at four-week intervals during the season.
The intended publication dates and cut-off dates for submission of official results for BASS lists are shown below. Lists will be published at roughly monthly intervals during the season, positioned so that the number of competitions that need to switch list within the competition are minimised. FIS lists are published bi-weekly on a Tuesday and will be incorporated into the following BASS list as indicated in the table.

FIS lists are published bi-weekly on a Tuesday throughout the season.
Results from all 'approved' calendar races (U14 age group and upwards) are collated and processed at intervals during the season to produce the Seed Lists, which are then published in various formats. Although often used to measure individual performance, Seed Lists are officially used to check eligibility against race entry criteria, and to determine race start order.
There are some small differences in how the points are done for various lists, but the basic principle is the same. For example, snow (BASS) points are the minimum of the following:
At the end of the season the calculations are slightly different as you can no longer simply rely on the points brought forward from last year:
To be included in the seeding system, you need to be registered with one of the registration bodies. For anyone other than services personnel, this means one of Snowsports England, Wales or Scotland.
Please note: if you change registration body between seasons, for example registering with Snowsport Scotland when you have previously been registered with England, you need to inform us via email at seeding@gbski.com so that your points can be transferred across to your new registration number. It may not happen automatically!
Some competitions include a 'team' element that is based on published Club affiliation. Each competitor can list one home (UK) club for use in artificial slope (BARTS) competitions and one overseas (Alpine) club for use in outdoor snow (BASS) competitions.
Each of these competitions has regulations that specify which seed list they use for club. In this situation, the clubs listed on the Excel and Ski Pro editions of that seed list are used, not the club listed in the 'live' online list. This is because the live list links directly to each competitor record in the database, the details of which may have changed since the seed list was published.
Race results for BASS and BARTS seeding can only be accepted from SkiPro software (either the original event files or preferably a ".spro" backup).
If you find any issues with seed lists, please contact seeding@gbski.com straight away.
